Belly button peircing questions?

They say to wait a month after you get it done to swim, but if you feel as though after a month it is not completely healed I wouldn't go in. And as for going in and cleaning it afterwards, it wouldn't really help that much because all the chemicals would already be down in the hole. I would recommend waiting til summers over to get it pierced so that you can swim worry free this summer, and the next after you get it done :)
