Serious question/ tampon help?

i have a dance tonight and i have a white dress, on that note, i will be whering light underwear. how do i dont have a pad show through? and i know ur going to say where a tampon, which leads me to my nxt question,whn i put a tampon in, the aplicator ( plastic) feels like it gets snagged or stuck on my insite wall and hurts to push it in more, it feels like a ccorner of it gets stuck on the inside wall of my vagina. Can u plesae give me help or tips on how to put one in so it doesnt do tht. and also, how to put one in in a bathroom stall quickly, casue normally i have o like lie down ( idc, it works for me) but how can i use one in a stall 2?? thanks
